The most striking advantage of the pull stroke saw is its ability to cut very accurately with less effort. There is less binding, buckling and breaking of the blade because the blade is under tension on the pull cutting stroke rather than under compression as in Western style saws. Pull saws produce straight cuts with much thinner kerfs. They are especially suited to working fine cabinet timbers. We stock a number of styles for a variety of purposes. Once you've used a Japanese saw you'll be hooked for life.
Please note that Japanese saws have very hard teeth and are extremely difficult to resharpen. When buying a saw we suggest that you purchase a spare blade if available.
