This moisture meter from Merlin uses scanning technology similar to that used in the more expensive PM1E model. Maximum scanning depth is 20mm, minimum board thickness is 1.3mm. Moisture measurement range: 4% to 20% with high accuracy, up to 40% with less accuracy. Different species can be placed in six pre-determined groups that can be selected by a switch that is conveniently located on the front of the instrument. This instrument is made especially for harder, denser timbers. Made in Austria.
