Power feeders are used pretty much as their name indicates - they hold and feed stock into cutting position on circular saws, spindle moulders, sanders, routers, planers, etc. Due to their firm hold and driving mechanism, they keep material aligned correctly, and they also keep your hands clear of cutting blades.
