Every woodworker has experienced a router bit that is just a little too short for the job, especially in router table applications or with jigs and templates that eat up the length of standard bits.

Here is an easy, inexpensive solution. CMT’s extensions fit any 1/2" collet router and then extends all 1/2" shank or 1/4" shank router bits depending on the model selected below. The extension adds 2-1/2" (63mm) to your router bits length. Recommended for router bits with diameters of 40mm or less. This product should only be used with variable speed routers.
