Made of treated steel that is blackened to minimise rust. Essential for measuring the wall thickness of bowls, vases and other hollow vessels as well as spindle diameters. As the caliper is forced open by the wall thickness of your workpiece, the measurement is transferred to the opposite end of the caliper, giving you the exact thickness of the vessel wall.
