Veritas® Chairmaker's Scraper

While this chairmaker's scraper was designed primarily for chairmakers' use, it can be used for any other scraping task in the shop. The appeal of this tool is that it can be used as is for scraping flat surfaces with the included straight blade. For scraping round pieces, additional blades are available:

1/2" (12.7mm) concave
7/8" (22.2mm) concave
1-1/4" (31.7mm) concave
1-1/2" (38mm) radius convex

The straight blade can also be ground to a specific shape. All blades are made from 1.5mm thick high-carbon steel. The machined cast steel body is fitted wiht a large rear handle and a front knob of bubinga.
