Designed for fast, easy hollowing in woods ranging from soft wood up to hard, dry woods, including burls. Its major advantages are its resistance to clogging and dig-in, as well as its safety, even when used up to its maximum design depth of 350mm.

The system consists of a handle, a side handle, the main tool rest post, tool support and two cutting heads. One cutter is a 10mm tungsten carbide cutter, the other is a 25mm HSS cutter. Both are angled downwards at 12° for increased safety. This system is recommended for larger lathes with enough heft to support the tool as well as sufficient support when deep hollowing.

The handle is made of stainless steel that is encased in foam rubber and is filled with lead shot. It fits in the normal tool post location on your lathe and includes a collar for height adjustment. The system is supplied standard with a 30mm post. Please specify if your post diameter is different. Optional gooseneck shaft with 8mm tungsten carbide cutter available as shown below.
