There is something for everyone at the Carbatec Stand of the Melbourne Timber & Working with Wood Show on the 11th - 13th September 2015.   

This year Carbatec will run the following at their stands: 

WOODWORKING USING PALLETS & RECYCLED TIMBERS

Come along to the Carbatec Live Machine Shop where Ben and Meg will demonstrate how to make a range of homewares using Pallets and Recycled Timbers on common workshop machinery such as a bandsaw, tablesaw and thicknesser.

Projects include:

• Wall Wine Rack
• Hanging / Desk Pendant Lights
• IPad Stand

KIDS SPACE
This year Carbatec’s Kids Space comes to Melbourne where children aged 4 -12 years can come and build a small wood project such as a Pencil Case Box or Spinning Top.  The projects are built from precut kits which have been specially designed for little hands to put together safely.  There will also be a Colouring-in Station for younger siblings.

PRODUCT & SKILL DEMONSTRATIONS

• Veritas Handtools: 
  Learn how to set up and use the range of Handtools from our Veritas champion who has just returned from the Veritas Lea Valley Headquarters in Canada
• Japanese Saws
  Have a go and learn about the advantages of using Japanese Saws for Woodworking
• Sharpening with Waterstones
  Learn about Waterstones and how to best use them for sharpening
• Woodturning Pens & Craft
  See our live Woodturning demonstration with a focus on Pens and Craft
• Bessey Clamps
  Bessey Australia will be discussing and demonstrating the different types and uses of the Bessey clamp range.
• Finishing & Polishing
  Learn from an expert finisher and polisher on a range techniques and applications using Liberon and Organoil products
• Tormek Sharpening
  The ultimate in sharpening, Tormek will be demonstrating the T-7 & T-4 systems plus the new range of Plano Clamps from Promac.

CARBATEC MACHINE SHOP

Carbatec’s Machine Shop will feature a range of brands and machinery in this large 6x6 Machine Shop. Come and discuss your needs and workshop space with our machinery experts and take advantage of the September Machinery sale.

SAW STOP

SawStop will be on display featuring their 3 Table Saw products.  Come and visit the stand to see the live emergency brake in action - the brake stops in contact with skin making it truly the Worlds Safest Table Saw.
