Basic Points on Sanding Machines

We stock a range of sanders suitable for a wide variety of tasks and material sizes:

• Disc Sanders allow you to sand workpieces at set angles; they are particularly useful for sanding mitred edges and end grain.
• Oscillating Spindle Sanders utilise a rotating and oscillating bobbin; they are especially suited for sanding shaped or contoured pieces that aren't accessible with a flat-faced sander.
• Belt and Disc Sanders combine the detailed finishing capability of a disc sander with the general utility of a linishing belt, allowing you to handle two functions on one machine.
• Belt Linishers are designed specifically for finishing timber faces and edges quickly and easily. Some models like our BB-80S also have an oscillating motion similar to a bobbin sander, allowing you to curve sand on the rounded end of the machine.
• Wide Drum Sanders are used as a final dressing for already-dressed timber; it is not used for material sizing, rather, it provides a fine, uniform surface finish on wide, flat material.
