Carbatec 635mm Wide Drum Sander - Twin Drum

Features a powerful 3HP/ 230V single-phase motor. The variable speed rubberised feed belt protects the underside of panels during infeed while holding them in place to pass under the sanding heads. Abrasives are spirally wound onto both drums and are tensioned at both ends with spring clips - setup takes only a few minutes, even less with some practice.

The optimal way for the drums to be configured is with coarse paper on the front drum and fine paper on the rear to allow you to produce a finished board in one pass. This dramatically reduces your hand sanding time and is a wonderful common sense. A drum setting gauge is factory fitted and helps make this process simple and easy.

• Adequate dust extraction – 2HP (at least 1200CFM) is a prerequisite for using this machine. Carbatec recommends the DC-2300P (1800 CFM).
• Without adequate dust extraction drum wraps become clogged and will not perform optimally.
• Requires 15Amp power point and circuit, which must be installed by a licensed electrician.
• This machine is designed specifically for finishing. Trying to remove too much material will increase the motor load and may trip your 15A circuit.
