The fixed jaw has a <0.5deg inward facing tilt that provides positive, yet gentle clamping pressure on delicate items, yet as you increase the clamping pressure, it is forced to the parallel position.  Clamps that start parallel, are often a forced OUT of true parallel as the pressure comes on, even worse as theywear with regular use.

The tool free reversible sliding jaw (with large easy grip handle) allows for spreading applications, adding to this clamp’s versatility in your workshop.
