Retail Assistant Store Manager - Brisbane Store
Full Time Assistant Store Manager
We're looking for a person who is passionate about woodworking, DIY projects, timber, tools, and creating things with your hands - Someone who is eager to make our customers day and motivated to drive store sales and efficiencies within our team environment.
Whether you're an experienced retail leader or someone with a woodworking background who is eager to build a career in retail management, we'd love to hear from you. While retail management experience is highly regarded, it isn't essential for the right person. If you're motivated, willing to learn, and ready to grow, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Retail Assistant Store Manager, you'll work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the store, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and help drive sales growth.You'll be a hands-on leader who enjoys engaging with customers, mentoring team members, and sharing knowledge and enthusiasm for woodworking products and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively create and build positive relationships with our internal and external customers through genuine and authentic customer support
- Actively identify store development opportunities and solutions to potential operational problems or inefficiencies
- Contribute to achieving or exceeding sales & profitability targets and, business goals
- Assist with flow of customer communications through in-store, email and phone interactions
- Assist with team member training and development
- Assist with merchandising style and standards and stock integrity functions and initiatives
- Be a supportive escalation point for the positive resolution of customer issues and concerns
- Assisting in managing the day-to-day retail operations and store supervision spanning opening through to closing
