For over 15 years, Spiral and Helical cutterheads have been constantly evolving, improving and taking the industry by storm. Multi-edge Solid Carbide Inserts pushed aside the old-style single piece HSS blades, with their quieter cut, smoother finish, reduced tear-out and a vastly increased service life. Each cutting edge is sharper, harder and each last far longer than the HSS straight blade equivalent. With each insert having 2 cutting edges (which can be individually rotated if you manage to chip one), the initial cost is long forgotten.
Carbatec Premium Carbide Inserts are designed to fit spiral & true helical head machines that Carbatec sells, but many of these inserts will fit other brand cutterheads as well.
