The author explains the process from the view of a joiner at a point when automation was coming in, and the skills to do these jobs were about to be lost.
Lost Art Press take a book that has been out of print, possibly for decades, and professionally scan and reproduce the drawings and photos, in an attempt to minimise the loss of those hand skills that have been lost with atomisation. Many of these skills have been lost since WW11, and Lost Art Press are helping woodworkers to salvage these skills and knowledge.
