"The Art of Joinery" was the first book published by Lost Art Press in 2008. This revised edition of Joseph Moxon's original writings from the 17th century contains lightly edited text of Moxon's landmark work on joinery, which is still important to woodworkers who incorporate handtools into their craft.

Modern commentary has been added to this edition on Moxon's tools and techniques sections plus additional photos help demonstrate many of the processes that Moxon discusses, such as processing stock by hand and cutting mortise-and-tenon joints.

This edition is 168 pages and like all Lost Art Press publications is printed and bound in the United States. The book is hardbound and covered with a dark-blue cloth. The interior of the book is notched and casebound for durability. The book has natural coloured end sheets and the book’s pages feature a rough exterior edge (sometimes called a "deckle" edge), like early books.
