Designed for efficient surfacing and rabbeting applications, this Amana carbide-tipped spoilboard router bit is ideal for CNC spoilboard resurfacing, slab flattening and panel planing. The 28.6mm (1-1/8") diameter cutting head allows fast material removal while still being compact enough to work cleanly into tighter areas.
The three-flute carbide cutting edges deliver smooth, efficient cutting performance across a wide range of materials. This makes it particularly useful for resurfacing MDF spoilboards, flattening large glue-ups, or machining rebates and slots where a flat-bottomed cut is required.
The bit is also suitable for router sled machines, making it a great option for flattening large slabs and panels. When using with a router sled, ensure the sled is fully stable and square for best results.
For users machining plastics such as acrylic, it is recommended to run lower spindle RPM with an adjusted feed rate to prevent melting or adhesion of material to the cutter.
A Fusion 360 compatible tool file is available for download to simplify CNC setup and programming.
