The i2R 4th Axis Rotary Kit is a plug-and-play upgrade designed to expand the capabilities of your i2R A Series CNC router. By adding a fully controlled rotary axis, this accessory allows you to machine cylindrical objects with precision and repeatability.

Ideal for projects such as barley twists, decorative table legs, pool cues, pens and other turned components, the rotary kit transforms your standard 3-axis CNC machine into a versatile 4-axis machining system.

Installation is straightforward. The headstock and tailstock mount directly to the aluminium T-slot table, and the rotary unit connects to the dedicated 4th axis port already built into compatible machines.

When paired with suitable CAD/CAM software, the rotary kit enables advanced machining techniques such as profile wrapping and 3D carving. Software such as Vectric VCarve Pro offers basic wrapping functionality, while Vectric Aspire provides more advanced 4th axis and 3D modelling capabilities for complex carving work.

The rotary system includes a 4-jaw chuck, MT2 live centre tailstock, and stepper-driven indexing, delivering precise control with extremely fine rotational movement.

Maximum workpiece length between centres depends on the A Series machine model:

• A24: up to 1070 mm between centres
• A23: up to 760 mm between centres
• A22: up to 460 mm between centres

This accessory also fits previous Axiom AR Pro+ Series models, offering a simple way to unlock more creative CNC possibilities.
