This compact version of the popular REVO 18|36 lathe (or as we call it, the 18|20) has been purpose-built for the Australian education market, offering the same strength, control, and professional performance of its full-size brother—with a more space-efficient footprint. It’s the ideal solution for schools, clubs, and training facilities where multiple machines are installed side-by-side, or where a mix of full size and short-bed lathes can give you the flexibility you need in alright tight workspaces.

This School Specific model comes equiped with an heavy duty and adjustable, fabricated steel dust hood and hose, ready to connect to your daust network.

Precision Engineering and Premium Construction
The lathe bed is a standout feature crafted from precision-ground ASTM A36 steel (tougher and more durable than cast iron) with an extra-wide 208 mm profile. This ensures smooth, stable movement of the headstock, tailstock, and tool rest across the bed.

The powerful 2HP induction motor, paired with a VFD (Variable Frequency Drive), provides high torque across the speed range, especially at lower RPMs. A one-lever belt tensioning system makes speed range changes fast and intuitive.

Control is effortless thanks to the anodised aluminium control panel and knurled rubber-grip speed dial. The blue-backlit digital readout makes it easy to monitor spindle speed at a glance.
