Accurate, repeatable angle planing from 45° to 135°

This variable-angle fence expands the capability of your Veritas plane, allowing you to accurately and consistently plane angles between 45° and 135°. Ideal for chamfers, bevels, and precise edge work, it provides stable registration and controlled results.

The fence mounts using knurled stainless-steel knobs to compatible Veritas planes with threaded bodies, including the low-angle jack, custom bench, bevel-up jointer, shooting plane, and jack rabbet plane. Adjustment is simple: loosen the locking screw, pivot the fence to the desired angle using a square, sliding bevel, or set-up piece, then retighten to secure the setting.

An ergonomically shaped torrefied maple side handle allows you to apply consistent lateral pressure for positive registration against the workpiece. The fence and handle can be configured for right- or left-hand use, and threaded holes in the fence provide onboard storage for the mounting knobs.

The 11" (279mm) anodized aluminium fence includes through-holes for attaching a wooden extension or tapered spacer when working at angles less than 45°, further increasing versatility.
