Carbatec Open Gear Scroll Chuck – Precision Workholding for Smaller Lathes

The Carbatec Open Gear Scroll Chuck is a lighter, more compact alternative to our Professional Enclosed model, making it ideal for smaller lathes. Precision CNC machined from 1045 high tensile steel, this premium-quality chuck features an open gear mechanism operated by a matching chuck key in the convenient “righty-tighty, lefty-loosey” configuration.

Larger jaw slides provide added strength, and with optional jaws, this chuck covers nearly all woodturning holding needs. Supplied with a standard 50 mm jaw set and wood screw, which will accommodate bowls up to 300 mm in diameter by 100 mm deep.
